The Henri Fanthome office for Architecture is the practice of Henri Fanthome, principal architect and the founder of HFOA.
The practice is involved with engendering, search and exploration for an architecture that is appropriate at a time, place and culture that is uniquely at each location. It seeks, by rigorous inquiry, discipline and pragmatic thinking, to be able to celebrate the delicate balance between humans and the planet, that we inhabit within the realm of geography, climate and built environment.
Every project undertaken is viewed as an extension of the metaphor of nurturing. We see the act of habitation as custodian-ship, where we hope to be able to create a better and more beautiful world for future generations to come.
Adopting a manifesto for an architecture that bears the markings of sound design, innovative solutions, an economy of means and a strong desire for an environmental responsibilities as well as spatial excitement the office was set up in the early 2008.
